Official Announcement from The Management of Deccan Public School
STUDENS ARE PROMOTED
The Telangana government declared on that all students of classes 1 to 9 will be promoted without any final examinations due to the Covid-19 lockdown which has now been extended till June 30
The repeated lockdown extensions have forced the state government to make a decision that most state governments have already taken due to schools being closed during the lockdown.
Summative exams cannot be conducted due to lockdown
The decision was taken following the announcement by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to promote all students up to class 9 to the next higher class as the Summative Assessment (SA-2) examinations for the academic year 2019-20 could not be conducted due to lockdown to prevent coronavirus spread.
"The government, after careful examination of the matter and keeping in view hardship caused due to COVID-19 pandemic, hereby decide to cancel the Summative Assessment-II Examinations for the Classes 1 to 9 and order to promote all the students of Classes 1 to 9 studying in Government, Aided and Private Unaided Schools during the Academic Year, 2019-20, to next higher Classes in the Academic Year, 2020-21," the order from the Telangana governemnt said.
